In Laredo, We Hardly Need an Excuse to Celebrate.

Don’t believe us? Then consider this: in most areas of the country, George Washington’s birthday is just another day off work. Here, we celebrate for an entire month. The festivities include live music, air shows, food tasting contests, and even pageants and balls.

But that’s not all we have going on in Laredo. Hardly a month goes by without a festival of some kind, whether it’s New Orleans with a Mexican twist at Jamboozie [link to Jamboozie page], seasonal celebrations at Christmas, Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July, or our monthly Bazar de San Agustin [link to Bazar de San Agustin], featuring local musicians, food and artwork.

Laredo is a town that knows how to have fun. Whether we’re celebrating the birthday of one of our country’s founding fathers, using a seasonal holiday as an excuse for a parade, or simply celebrating life, we know how to throw a party the whole town will enjoy.
